Infiniti QX80 Autograph 4WD
Written by Marco Carvajal
Yes, the top-of-the-line Infiniti QX80 Autograph is a super premium Luxury Full-Size 3-row SUV that has everything you want and more, but the ticket price is not low, we are talking about $110,000 retail price. This powerful and luxurious machine is superpowered by a V6, 3.5 liters twin-turbocharged engine, capable of producing 450 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque with no hybrid or electrified version yet.
As the flagship SUV in the INFINITI family, the QX80 delivers everything you can expect and more. It is a very impressive car, especially when you select the Autograph trim model.
Complementing the new all-wheel-drive engine, it has a 9-speed automatic transmission which improves responsive acceleration and efficient highway cruising. However, it is not very efficient yet, with an average of 17 miles per gallon estimated fuel economy, which is normal for a full-size SUV, but can be improved. Saving space for cupholders and storage, the new 2025 QX80 uses sleek push buttons on the dashboard to shift its transmission.
The Infiniti QX80 is a very attractive and solid car, it looks just amazing, but when we go to the top-of-the-line premium trim level QX80 Autograph, then Infiniti takes everything to the highest possible level, producing an automobile artwork that is luxurious and powerful with every possible feature standard.
There is so much to say about the features and comfort of the QX80 that I don’t know where to start, from technology, style, luxury design, features, and everything else you can imagine. Infiniti is putting every effort into making the flagship vehicle QX80 the best full-size SUV you can get in the market.
Infiniti luxury brand produces only four cars for 2025
Even if Infiniti is a premium and solid Japanese brand established for many years as the luxury brand of Nissan, many car buyers are not familiar with the brand. Infiniti is some type of best-kept secret automobile brand that is still to be discovered by a large percentage of car buyers who don’t know the brand well yet.
The luxury brand stays a bit private and selective by producing only a few models. At this time for 2025, Infiniti is producing only four car models so far, including the QX80 that I am test driving.
Nissan, the mother brand of Infiniti has a more extensive lineup of sports cars, trucks, SUVs, electric cars, and more, with nearly 18 different car models that are available in different trim levels, but Infiniti stays exclusive and small giving you just a few but amazing cars
Those who already know Infiniti cars understand that each of these vehicles is a masterpiece, but especially the top-of-the-lineup Infiniti QX80 that I am test driving is just one of the best large SUVs you can find on the market.
When we think about Infiniti’s competitors we tend to compare it with Lexus, as both are luxury brands of well-known and similar Japanese brands, Toyota and Nissan, However, both brands are very different and Lexus tends to go more into hybrid and electrified vehicles, while Infiniti is working on a selective amount of very luxurious and premium models but with regular gasoline engines, however, the future of Infiniti will be electrified too.
Competition for the Infiniti QX80 includes the Cadillac Escalade, Lexus LX, and the Lincoln Navigator.
If you want to stay with very luxurious gasoline cars, then Infiniti can be a great choice if you can afford it.
For 2025 the brand offers only four premium vehicles in the United States:
- 2025 INFINITI QX50 with a starting MSRP of $43,000
- 2025 INFINITI QX55 with a starting MSRP of $50,150
- 2025 INFINITI QX60 with a starting MSRP of $50,200
- 2025 Infiniti QX80 with a starting MSRP of $82,450
I am test-driving the top-of-the-line, the most luxurious and expensive Infiniti on the market, the QX80 Autograph model, just the best of the best you can get in the Nissan or Infiniti brand.

Exterior Design
The new QX80 has a strong, attractive, and confident image, with strong design lines, well-defined proportions, and a large exterior size.
The strong anti-wedge profile, with a long, nearly flat hood leading into crisp shoulder lines, projects a sleek sense of motion and design style.
Looking at the front of the QX80, it wears the newest signature INFINITI double-arch grille, inspired by the organic shapes of a Japanese bamboo forest, the grille shape reflects a powerful, commanding car.
The fancy sleek, minimalist design theme can be noted everywhere inside and outside with details like flush door handles, which automatically present themselves when the vehicle is unlocked, and other details resulting in a cleaner and sharp appearance that also contribute to improvements in its aerodynamic performance.
The attractive design includes two harmonious character lines, one from the headlamps through the shoulder line, below the windows; the second, tracing from the front bumper to the creases in the lower doors.
The strong blacked-out door pillars contribute to a sleeker appearance for the upper body and unify the dual color style.
Infiniti designers added lighting elements to create a stronger exterior look. The stylish narrow, multi-element LED daytime running lights at either side of the upper grille recall the organic bamboo forest theme.
The illuminated INFINITI emblem now has a three-dimensional-like appearance adding more style to the exterior.
On the lower corners of the front fascia, you can find the QX80 combination lamps, along with small and discreet air curtain vents that help aerodynamically optimize airflow around the wheel wells and produce a beautiful image.
On the exterior design, the luxury AUTOGRAPH QX80 models are distinguished by the attractive two-tone roof treatment dark chrome trim, and unique Layered Turbine 22-inch wheels.
Interior Design
The premium Luxury QX80 includes 3 rows with seating for 7 passengers. Passengers in the second row can enjoy captain’s chairs, and a premium 9″ screen to control HVAC, seat positioning, and massage functionality for the second row.
The interior large high-quality separate 9-inch touchscreen mounted below the infotainment display on the driver dashboard provides convenient control of all climate functions, as well as front seating heating or cooling operations and a selection of driving modes. This smart screen uses haptic feedback to help users feel when they have selected the appropriate on-screen function.
Functions are housed on their own touchscreen section, so they never intrude into infotainment operations like navigation or music display distractions.
The QX80 AUTOGRAPH luxury SUV impresses with all its details
Inside the cabin, the AUTOGRAPH features seating surfaces carefully finished with luxury semi-aniline leather appointments, with a unique stitched finish effect that is partially completed by hand.
The dot-quilting adds texture and depth to the seats, plus it adds an extra level of craftsmanship at the highest quality, typical of the Infiniti brand.
Beautiful and luxury stylish open-pore ash wood trim pieces around the cabin, with laser-cut inlays into which ultra-thin aluminum accents produce a trendy and beautiful interior.
The luxury Japanese brand from Nissan is one of the most selective and quality brands, producing only a few models like the flagship top-of-the-line trim model Infiniti QX80 Autograph, an SUV that will impress even the most demanding drivers who can afford to pay around $110K for one of the best full-size automobiles in the market.
